Our Founder
Apostle JEAN ENENE SANGO WAANA is the vision bearer of The Army of the Lord’s Church, founded in 2010 with a divine mandate to raise a Spirit-filled, Christ-centered generation. From humble beginnings, he led the church with passion, faith, and a deep commitment to the Kingdom of God.
He is married to Sidonie ENENE, who has been a strong pillar of support in his ministry. Together, they have been blessed with six children, and their family continues to be a testimony of God’s grace.
Over the years, Apostle JEAN ENENE SANGO WANA has mentored and empowered a new generation of leaders who are now equipped and ready to carry the vision forward. Though he now serves in a more advisory role, his impact and legacy remain at the heart of the ministry.
Church Overseer
Reverend Bahemuka Banga Beching serves as the Overseer and Legal representative of The Army of the Lord’s Church, which currently reaches over 1,900 individuals through its nine parishes located in DR Congo, Belgium, and through online platforms.
He provides spiritual leadership and oversees the implementation of the church’s strategic vision. In addition, he acts as the church’s legal representative. Reverend Banga is joyfully married to Honorine Mave Amooti, who leads the Women and Young Girls’ Ministry at The Army of the Lord’s Church. Together, they are blessed with seven wonderful children.
Church Governance and Leadership Structure
The growth of the Army of the Lord’s Church is built on a God-centered and effective organizational structure, led by dedicated men and women who fear God.
Governance is carried out by two key leadership groups:
- The pastoral team
- The Council of Elders (made up of few selected pastors and church elders). This council serves as the highest decision-making body, responsible for spiritual direction, ministry oversight, and strategic leadership.
They are supported by a business and administration team to ensure effective management aligned with the church’s vision.
Pastoral Team
The Pastoral Team consists of a unified group of men and women who have faithfully served together in building the Church of God in DR Congo. They are responsible for the spiritual leadership and pastoral care of the congregation. Their ministry approach is holistic, addressing the needs of spirit, soul, and body, which results in the comprehensive growth and transformation of church members.

The Council of Elders
The Elders’ Team plays a crucial role in shaping the spiritual direction of the church. They are entrusted with safeguarding biblical doctrine and, together with the pastoral team, provide leadership, guidance, and spiritual authority. Their mission includes equipping and empowering the congregation to fulfill their God-given callings and responsibilities.
Business and Administration Team
The Business and Administration Team is entrusted with managing the operational and physical needs of the church. Their core responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing policies that guide the church’s day-to-day operations, including the use of church property, financial management, staff conduct, and any other administrative matters as needed.
Providing oversight of the church’s financial and business affairs. This includes supporting the administration of ordinances, overseeing the recruitment, discipline, and termination of church employees, and ensuring fair and appropriate compensation for pastors and staff.
Assisting in the upkeep, maintenance, and general management of church property. Additionally, The Business and Administration, on behalf of the leadership, are responsible for appointing leaders for various church departments.
